Yoga

 

A former soccer player, I discovered yoga while on the mend from an ACL tear. It wasn't until I moved to DC from San Francisco shortly thereafter that my practice really took off.  I love getting lost in a creative flow, figuring out challenging poses for the first time, and harnessing the power of deep breathing and rest.

 

I teach vinyasa flow and create sequences that are fun, creative, and athletic. Known for my grounded and supportive presence, I encourage my students to breathe deeply and cultivate mindfulness and calm. I offer a thoughtful and nurturing environment where my students can find whatever it is that they need from their yoga practice.  To enhance my classes, I weave in essential oils and hands on assists as well as very eclectic music (from Tupac to Bach and everything in between).

 

 

Highlights of the Retreat

 

  • Three days of hiking and connecting with nature in the beautiful Atlas Mountains.
  • 4 days of taking in the rich culture and history of Marrakech.
  • Daily cultural excursions, including cooking classes, guided visits to Marrakech historical sites, Moroccan arts & crafts workshops, and visits to Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains

About Nicole

 

Nicole (RYT 200, MBA) is a California native, registered yoga teacher and a holistic health coach.  She fell in love with the Islamic World while studying Art History at UCLA, which lead her to spend a semester abroad in Ankara Turkey.  Five years later, while pursuing her International MBA, she spent a year abroad in Fez, Morocco, Irbid, Jordan, and Beirut, Lebanon.  She is passionate about curating meaningful travel experiences that emphasize cultural understanding and personal growth.  As a yoga instructor and health coach, she creates space for her clients and students to slow down and tune in.  She believes that developing skills to remain calm and centered empower us to step outside of our comfort zone and welcome adventure and expansion.  Nicole is thrilled to lead Morocco Yoga & Culture retreat and share her love of Moroccan culture, yoga, and wellness.
