Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra in Berkeley
My yoga teaching and my coaching work grow from the same root: learning to stay present with what’s actually happening rather than managing it from a distance.
I teach regular Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Yin classes at Green Yogi in Berkeley. My classes are intentionally slow, deeply supported, and designed to give you an experience many of us rarely make time for: doing less and letting your body settle.
No experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga uses props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to completely support the body in poses held for longer periods of time. There is minimal stretching and muscular effort. You don’t need to accomplish anything while you’re there.
The practice gives you time to slow down, release some of the effort you’ve been carrying, and experience what it actually feels like to stop.
Restorative Yoga can be especially supportive if you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, or the muscular tension that comes from spending much of your day braced or in go-mode.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice done lying down, usually with the body fully supported and still. Rather than trying to quiet your mind or achieve a particular state, you follow a guided sequence of attention while allowing yourself to become progressively less effortful.
For many people, Yoga Nidra offers access to a depth of rest that can be difficult to reach on their own.

Monthly Nervous System Reset
Second Friday of every month from 6:30-8 pm · Green Yogi MLK · $35
If you spend most of your week thinking, doing, managing, and keeping track of what needs to happen next, shifting out of that mode isn’t always as simple as deciding to relax.
Nervous System Reset is a 90-minute monthly practice designed to help you make that shift.
Each session includes accessible teaching, gentle movement, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, with plenty of time devoted to actually practicing downshifting rather than just learning about it.
Come when you’re overwhelmed, tired, having trouble slowing down, or simply want a regular practice of stopping before your body forces you to.

What Students Say
“Working with Nicole helped me establish a regular routine of resetting my nervous system, something I had not been able to do on my own despite multiple attempts. I slept better and felt happier. I’ve learned the value of being gentle, kind, and slow with myself.”
Alexis
“My recent Restorative session with Nicole was a complete reset. I didn’t quite know what to expect going into it and was completely blown away by the impact not only from the poses we did but also from the one-on-one attention and care I received from Nicole. The feeling I left with was similar to how I’ve felt after a spa treatment or a massage — relaxed, held, confident and whole.”
Antonia
“Setting a simple intention to rest in one or two poses for only 20 minutes a day has helped me recognize and feel the difference between true rest and regulation. It has helped me recondition patterns of driving my body to collapse versus proactively resting and restoring.”
Sarah S.
“Without inner change, there can be no change. Without collective change, no change matters.”
